Aceto Balsamico del Duca joins the Italian Historic Companies Union

Aceto Balsamico Del Duca debuts among the oldest company in Italy, joining the UISI (Italian Historic Companies Union) register. The candidacy of the company, established in 1891, and focused on the production of the famous Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP, was accepted by the Union, which brings together the most active and ethical centenarian brands nationwide. The ceremony was held on December 12th, during
the traditional Winter Convivium of UISI at Palazzo Incontri in Florence, in the presence of several members of the Association and institutional representatives: among them Eugenio Alphandery, president of UISI and Kazuyoshi Umemoto ambassador of Japan in Italy. The entry in the register of Italian Historic Companies, is very important since the Union access policies are particularly strict. According to the UISI, actually, an “historic company” is a company that in the past, present – and even with a strong orientation towards the future – has spread productivity focusing in a
social and cultural context. In other words, an over-a-century industrious and ethically correct seniority.

That’s the best way to celebrate the 125th anniversary, since it was in 1891 that the Grosoli’s family company entered the register of the Chamber of Commerce of Modena, giving off a history of Italian excellence that goes on today with the fourth generation of the family. “We are proud of this achievement – Mariangela and Alessandra Grosoli, great-grandchildren of the founder Adriano, say – because it confirms the value of the work carried out in this area for generations, always looking for the top quality. The Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP is the excellence of our land, and our entrance in UISI emphasizes the intrinsic value of what we want to offer everyday to anyone looking in Balsamic vinegar a balance of flavors between sweet and sour, harmonious acidity, a velvety body and an unforgettable experience”.

The highlights of 125th celebrations was the creation of a limited edition of the bottle branded by the designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, enclosed in an elegant slipcase whose logo is in 24 carats gold leaf, accompanied by a scroll numbered and signed by Adriano Grosoli, grandson of the founder.
