BRC/IFS Certifications

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety represents a recognized tool of guarantee about business reliability, that Aceto Balsamico del Duca has implemented in 2015.

The BRC standard identifies the specific elements of a management system focused on quality and hygienic-sanitary safety of products, according to HACCP system.

The IFS standard (International Food Standard) is related to food security and is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), whose main purpose is to enhance and promote food safety all along the supply chain. IFS is in the meantime standard of safety and quality of food products.

ISO 9001 Quality Certification

For this reason, the company management decided to certify its Quality System according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 since 1999.

On August 31, 2009, only one month after Balsamic Vinegar of Modena obtained the “Protected Geographical Indication” recognition, Aceto Balsamico del Duca registered and certified its activity of production and bottling of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, according to DPC030 and the requirements of Reg. CE N. 583/2009, guaranteed by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Politics.

Organic products certification


certiifDel Duca Organic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is certified according to European, Canadian, US, and Japanese standards.

Therefore, its labels display the international organic symbols.

Product Quality

Aceto Balsamico del Duca guarantees a unique product thanks to:logocabm

– the use of cooked grape must produced in the area of origin and coming from the following grapes: Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Ancellotta, Fortana, Montuni and high-quality Italian wine vinegar;

-production and bottling in the province of Modena (area of origin);

-use of raw materials from non-genetically modified grapes (no GMO).

A product with low presence of sulfites (natural) and gluten free is, therefore, obtained.
