Marinated Onions Del Duca

marinated onions del ducaINGREDIENTS:

• 2 lb.  of small round onions
• juniper sticks
• cloves
• salt
• PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena del Duca

PREPARATION:

Pick small, round onions. Wash and crush the onions, cook in salted water for ten minutes on low heat. Place in a mason jar and add some whole cloves, juniper sticks and cover contents with PGI Balsamic Vinegar del Duca. Let sit for about a month. Goes great with your favorite meat or as a side dish with a sandwich.
