Three Medals and the entry into the Top50 for our Balsamic Vinegar at the “Oscars” of taste
A Gold Award and two Silver Awards, plus entry into the Top 50 products: for the Duke’s Balsamic Vinegar, the first edition of the International Taste Awards – the “Oscars” of taste that took place last Thursday in Montichiari (Brescia) and compared over 600 products from 31 countries around the world – ended with a triumph. At the end of the tastings conducted by a respectable technical panel of 160 professional tasters, the company won the Gold Award for its Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP Extra-old “Luxury Edition”, which also entered the special overall ranking of the Top50 Awards, the Olympus of international quality products.
And that’s not all: on January 30, at the award ceremony of the International Taste Awards 2020, the Aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP “since 1891” won the Silver Award, as well as the “Solo Modena” version. “A great satisfaction – underlines Mariangela Grosoli, who collected the prize in the seventeenth-century Palazzo Monti della Pieve in Montichiari – for a recognition that rewards the efforts and commitment of a company that makes respect for quality its daily distinctive feature”.
Sponsored by the Italian and foreign Chambers of Commerce and ENIT, and conceived by the professional taster Simone Massenza, the International Taste Awards 2020 represents the first competition open to any high-quality gastronomic product, which selects and promotes the work of the best producers, artisans, world farmers and breeders. “We tried to bring out the good, the excellence, the best in absolute terms in the immense and varied world of food & beverage – says Massenza – regardless of the company size or reputation, evaluating all the fundamental aspects in the judgment of a product, the absence of defects and its balance, the pleasure it can offer, in addition to the quality of the ingredients and production techniques. Among the winners there are faces, families, micro-enterprises that do an incredible job keeping alive roots and traditions and safeguarding products that deserve to be rewarded “.
